Candid family photography resonates with me deeply. The stages of maternity, childhood and parenthood are all incredible chapters that deserve to be photographed. These candid moments tell a part of your story that may be forgotten over time. The little details can be just as important as the classic formals we have all grown to love. Details like how tiny a newborns feet were, or how siblings held hands. Everything from twirling to tears, I believe these are all moments that can be cherished; moments you can reflect on and smile at those little details which make your loved ones special to you.

Being able to photograph families in Whistler we are fortunate to have access to such incredible backdrops. I always try to encourage movement during any family photography session, perhaps a walk through the woods or collecting rocks along a shoreline. Children love to play and incorporating that play will bring out their character and ever-changing imaginations. There may be a little dirt or a tad bit of fuss, however in my experience I have learned that all of these moments matter.

In Whistler, we have access to gorgeous lakes, intimate forested areas, and central outdoor locations that can offer you space and ease. Squamish areas are more open and have access to ocean and mountain views which are undeniably stunning. Pemberton's valley is quiet and gives you a longer sunset to play with. Vancouver has endless possibilities to help personalize your family photography session.
