Outdoor Squamish Wedding Ceremony

A Squamish Outdoor Wedding Venue

As a Squamish wedding photographer I have the privilege of photographing at some incredible venues. Sunwolf holds a special place in my heart as my hubby and I got married there back in 2017. It's a gorgeous piece of land situated on two rivers with quaint cabins and ample amounts of property to roam. A perfect spot to disconnect with technology and reconnect with nature.

Outdoor wedding venues are some of my favourite to shoot. When documenting any celebration, I love capturing guests in pure enjoyment of the festivities. My couples love receiving the images they see of their friends and family having one heck of a time on their special day. After all, it tends to be one of the biggest parties you will ever host! Regardless of size however, the community of people that come together to celebrate your love share a significant role in your momentous moment.

This wedding was actually photographed back in 2019 before the pandemic. I've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately and dreaming of cocktail hour candids and dance floor shenanigans. The intimate celebrations I have been able to photograph during the pandemic have been incredibly humbling. In taking this time to reflect, I am giddy for those celebrations that will take place this season with all my couples who have been patient and creative. No matter what a wedding looks like, each one is unique. The celebration in itself is to express love and gratitude for one another while soaking up the playful and emotional moments as much as you can. This is why photography is important. Capturing the joy and truth in a way you can relive it again and again.

In being a Squamish wedding photographer I wanted to highlight the joy and elated faces I captured throughout Adele and John's wedding day. There is also a emphasis on the ambience which I believe helps tell the story even in more depth. I often get asked about my style and approach to wedding photography. Although, it may be always growing I know my passion is fixated on the candid and natural moments of any celebration. Here are few candid moments from this Squamish outdoor wedding (pre-covid).
