I got invited to photograph an amazing class of Yoga this past weekend at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, which happens to be a gorgeous venue! This event was brought together by some inspiring individuals who are turning to the community to raise funds for the Africa Yoga Project. This is a monthly Yoga event raising over $10,000 for the cause and reaching out globally in hopes to raise over $100,000.
During the 2 hour practice I focused on the connection between individuals and the connection from within. Even though I didn’t participate physically, I felt very relaxed mentally. The teachers were funny and energetic, they got everyone to connect by practicing poses with one another which really made the energy in the room.
