WOW!

Sherri and Ryan sure know how to throw a party.

Fire Ball, horses and Chili Thom‘s beats were only some of the entertainment… by the end of the night most guests were rocking cowboy boots and fake mustaches (I may have been one of those people).

This was a wedding that was truly memorable. So glad I was able to be apart of it. Congrats Sherri and Ryan!

Whistler Is Awesome

A good friend of mine asked me if I could collaborate with her on a upcoming project. Collaborating always excites me simply because of the energy and imagination that comes from it. We discussed over coffee some concepts and wrote things down, but for the most part the project just unraveled and grew into something more then what we had discussed. Maybe that’s the most interesting part about it… a plan that turned into the unexpected.

I simply love being in this amazing round room, photographing the most relaxed but strong energy. Erin Anderson from White Gold Yoga is an amazing woman with such a passionate heart. She has been organizing these Yoga Jam Events held at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, raising funds for the Africa Yoga Project. Please visit the links and read about this great cause. Home Is Where You Make It

So I recently headed back East to visit some family and friends. It was a long time coming, I haven’t been home in over a year!

Why I pick the winter to fly back is beyond me but the timing was just right. As much snow, salt and minus 20 something weather I couldn’t help but miss the constant blue bird days. I suppose it isn’t easy to enjoy the sun when it’s so cold, but there is nothing like a beam of sunshine coming through your window in the morning.

What a great trip I had. Meeting up with friends in Toronto, spending time in the city over great food and wine. Then I headed up North where I caught up with old friends and spent time with all 4 of my amazing grandparents. It’s always a great experience coming home and seeing people I don’t get to see very often, but most importantly I always enjoy coming back to the home I have made here in Whistler.

It was too short of a visit but a pleasure to finally meet Emery. A childhood friend just gave birth to their first baby girl and during our visit over a glass of wine I couldn’t help but to snap a couple shots. Looking forward to watching her grow! xo
